Lack of sleeping options in the upstairs loft is disappointing!!! An air mattress or twin mattress on the floor would have been ideal for flexibility. Those roaming dogs outside near the early morning are surprisingly nerve-wracking!!!

Our stay was nothing short of fine! The two-bedroom suite featured a cozy fireplace and rocking chairs on the porch, which were perfect for enjoying the winter snow. The rustic country style was impeccably done, and the beds were comfortable

steep stairs

what an underwhelming experience at big texan. first, the ‘canvas wagon’ is more like a noisy tin can, and the steep stairs? not suitable for anyone remotely old. also, i could've used a major upgrade for my trouble—i mean, a welcome gift wouldn’t have hurt, right? i almost thought of a good review, but just couldn't.

It was super clean and bigger than expected. The bathhouse was nearby and immaculate, but I wish the mattress was upstairs for more comfort. Definitely would return!
